Living in Long Beach, we had been seeing signs for this "Chill" thing for ages. I heard it was a giant ice sculpture, and it. was. amazing. Inside the dome of the cruise ship terminal, they set up a giant airtight tent where they keep the temperature at 9 degrees, and they flew in ice sculptors to create a giant Nutcracker wonderland. The photos can't really do the thing justice. Everything is made of ice. These soldiers are as tall as me.
The bow of the Queen Mary had to be 20 feet high. It was impressive and amazing!
The girls have been Candyland obsessed, and they definitely thought this sugar plum fairy was Queen Frostine. She was probably 10 feet tall.

The Ice Palace was definitely the highlight, but there was other stuff to do, too. The grounds were decorated like the land of sweets from the Nutcracker, but again, the girls thought it was Candyland.
There was a giant rocking horse that was manually rocked.
"Ginny" the gingerbread girl was probably the cutest costumed person I've ever seen. Rosie was IN LOVE and would not stop hugging her.
The girls loved this giant inflatable snowglobe that you could go inside.
It was a pricey afternoon, but very neat.
