A Wintery Vacation

We've been back from our East Coast vacation for almost two weeks and somehow it took me this long to download all our photos! It was a great trip with visits to Boston, NY, and Baltimore, and the girls had so much fun experiencing snow for the first time. Here's a photo-heavy recap:

The girls checking out our airplane. They were so excited to wear their own backpacks. This was our first trip with no major meltdowns on the plane!

Rosie steps off the jetway and into the airport in Newark. I love how tiny she looks!

Amaya's very first step into the snow. The girls were instantly into it.

Rosie watching Amaya out in the snow with me and her uncle. She would not eat for the first few days of the trip and this was our attempt to bribe her into taking two bites of a banana. It eventually worked.

One of the best parts of the trip was meeting my new nephew! The girls liked him and sang him songs, but I love the way Amaya looks a little scared of him here.

Amaya helping Grandpa shovel the driveway

Sledding joy. My parents have just enough of a hill in their backyard to do a little sledding.

 Rosie gets sassy.

Working on some snowmen.

Making snow angels. They somehow knew how to do this on their own, probably from a TV show.

At my aunt and uncle's farm in Maryland.

Rosie and Grandma do some knitting.

Amaya and "big uncle" at his new pad outside Baltimore.

Still friends after hours in the car.

It was a great time and as usual it was hard to leave my family! We are already looking forward to our next trip.
